Shortly Bio
Alexandria Maniak, popularly known as Shortly, is a rock musician, graphic designer, and illustrator born in the United States. They have a bachelor's degree in Design from Wayne State University. They toured with Chloe Moriondo on the Blood Bunny tour and performed as an opener and bassist for Moriondo at Detroit's El Club.
The Michigan native is signed to Triple Crown Records. Shortly released her debut EP, Richmond, in 2018. Her debut album, Dancer, was released in September 2021. Collaborators include Austin Stawowczyk, Kris Herrman, and Joe Reinhart. It included tracks such as Frame of Reference, The Lightness, Locker Buddies, and Perpetually Blue.
Shortly has over 43,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. They have appeared on Animal Kingdom, Burst & Decay (Volume II), Waves, THIS IS A COPING MECHANISM FOR A BROKEN HEART, the masquerade (the edits), and If We Never Talk. Besides music, they are passionate about video game design, set design, and explosive campaign strategies. They were named one of Michigan's best songwriters by the online publication UPROXX.
