Robert Picardo Bio
Robert Picardo (nicknamed Bob) is an American former actor born on October 27 1953 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. He attended the William Penn Charter School and moved on to study Pre-Med at Yale. He later graduated with a degree in Drama from Yale University.
While at Yale he appeared in Leonard Bernstein’s Mass and played the leading role in the movie’s European premiere. He featured in the plays Sexual Perversity in Chicago and The Primary English Class. His broadway debut was in Gemini, the hit comedy series. He also appeared in Tribute, Beyond Therapy, Geniuses and he won the Drama-Logue Award for his act in The Normal Heart.
In 1988 he was nominated for an Emmy Award for his act in The Wonder Years as Coach Cutlip. He also appeared on several other series between 1988 and 2010. He is best known for his role as the holographic doctor on Star Trek: Voyager in 1995. He won the Saturn Award nomination for his act in Star Trek. Robert is also an accomplished singer and has put out a CD of parody songs.
