Marc Cohn Bio
Marc Cohn is an American singer and songwriter who was born on July 5, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio. He learned how to play piano and guitar as a child and went to college at UCLA, where he started to perform in different cafes around Los Angeles. He released his first album in 1991 titled "Marc Cohn". This album included the single “Walking in Memphis'', which ranked N° 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and even got nominated for Song of the Year and Best Pop Vocal at that year’s Grammy Awards. He won that year's Best New Artist Grammy Award. His second album titled "The Rainy Season" came out in 1993, featuring artists David Crosby, Graham Nash, and Bonnie Raitt. His third album called Burning the Daze was released in 1998, after which came a very long hiatus. He returned to the studio in 2007 releasing the album "Join the Parade".
