Prayers Bio
Prayers is an Electronic rock band founded in 2013 by Rafael Reyes and Dave Parley in San Diego, California.
They are the first duo to describe their genre of music as Cholo Goth which explores the harsh realities of gang and street life over thrombin beats and swirling synthesizers.
Their first full length is SD Killwave in 2013. One of Prayers' videos "Dog to God" in the SD Killwave album caught the eye of Ian Astbury who requested the band to open the 2014 Spring tour of California and Nevada.
Their music video Gothic Summer won the 2015 San Diego Film Festival Award for Best Music Video and Best Music Video Editing. In October 2015, Prayers scored five nominations in the San Diego Music Awards and won for Best Alternative Band.
The band was signed to international label BMG in 2017. Their song has received recognition around the world. Music like Young Gods, West End Girls and many more.
