Peter Gunz, originally Peter Pankey, is a famous rapper who was born on January 6th, 1969 in the Bronx, New York. He first appeared on the rap scene when he and Lord Tariq were featured on Whodini's album Six in 1996. They had 2 hits in 1998 with the platinum single "Deja Vu" which hit number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was featured on their only album Make It Reign. The album featured collaborations with major rappers such as Big Pun, Fat Joe, Sticky Fingaz, Kurupt and Cam'ron. Later, he began appearing on the VH1 reality series Love & Hip Hop: New York in a romantic entanglement between Tara Wallace and Amina Buddafly. Eventually, Peter became a manager when his music career began to fizzle out.
