Naby Keïta, born as Naby Laye Keïta, is a Guinean professional football player who plays as a central midfielder and was born on February 10, 1995, in Conakry. He began his youth career at his hometown team called Horoya. He moved to France in 2012 and joined Istres. He debuted in the first team only a year later and after 23 games he was sold to Austrian team Red Bull Salzburg in 2014, where he was elected as the Austrian Bundesliga Player of the Year in his second season.
In 2016 he was promoted to the German Bundesliga and began playing for RB Leipzig, with whom he played the 2017-2018 UEFA Champions League. In 2017 he joined Liverpool, where he became 2018-2019 UEFA Champions League winner and Club World Cup champion the following year. He also has an international career playing for Guinea national team since 2010.
