Zach Ertz is an American professional football player born in Orange, California on November 10, 1990. He is currently the tight end for the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL. Ertz was drafted by the Eagles in the 2013 NFL draft in the second round. He played football in high school at Monte Vista High School in California. While attending college at Stanford University, he played for the college team the Stanford Cardinals from 2009 to 2012. In 2013 he decided to enter the NFL draft and was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the draft, 35th overall. He was signed to a four year, $5.37 million contract with a $2.29 million signing bonus. In 2018 he started in Super Bowl LII and caught seven passes and for 67-yard and a touchdown. The Eagles defeated the New England Patriots 41-33 making it the franchise first Super Bowl win. While with the Philadelphia Eagles he has had the most receptions in a single game in 2018 and the most receptions in a single season in 2018.
