Noah Oliver Smith (who’s popularly known by his moniker Yeat and Lil Yeat) is an American rapper and songwriter who was born on February 26th 2000 in Irvine, California, United States. He was born and raised in California.
Noah began writing and releasing music in 2015 taking inspiration from famous artists at the time, especially Young Thug. He started out with the moniker Lil Yeat which he later shortened to Yeat in 2018. And the same year his debut mixtape Deep Blue Strips appeared. The next year he dropped three mixtapes, two EPs in 2020 (We Us and Hold On) and sporadic singles. He rose to fame in 2021 as his single Gët Busy became hugely popular on the social media platform TikTok. It further increased in popularity as its lyrics were even referenced by Drake, skyrocketing his fame. His first proper album Up 2 Më was released in September 2021 making it into the Billboard Top 200 chart. Some of his other well known singles include ODe (2020), MEh remix (2021), and Finally #FRËË (2021).
