Nélson Semedo is a professional Portuguese footballer born on 16th November 1993. He plays for English Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves) and the Portuguese national team. He began his career at S.U Sintrense at the age of 17. In 2012, he joined Benfica B, but was loaned to Fatima. He returned in 2015 and made his first senior team debut. He went on to win back-to-back Premiera Liga titles with the Portuguese team.
He signed with Barcelona FC in the summer of 2017 and won two La Liga titles before joining Wolverhampton Wanderers in September 2020 on a three-year deal. Semedo made his debut for the Portuguese national team in October 2015 in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup. He also participated in the 2019 Nations League Finals on home soil and won the competition. He also made the squad for Euro 2020.
