Pantha DU Prince, Panthel or Glühen 4 are the many monikers of the techno producer and composer Hendrik Weber. He was born in 1975 in Bad Wildungen in Germany. He worked with Carsten Jost, Turner, and Lawrence who directed the experimental techno label to release his Pantha du Prince material, the label along with a Hamburg-based experimental techno label which is distinguished by its dark tone and hopelessness, with a hint of minimal and experimental tendencies. In his first solo album Triad (2016) since Black Noise (2010), which has seen the collaboration of artists around the world like Scott Mou (aka Queens), Kjeldsberg and Von Troyer, is an invitation to the world to step outside of their comfort zones by working with unusual instruments in natural settings. In 2020, his album Conference of Trees follows the same line as Triad, recorded partly using wooden instruments made by the artist himself, he wanted to ‘spend more time outdoors and to legitimize it with art’.
