Laetitia Tamko (popularly known by her stage name Vagabon) is a Cameroonian-born singer and songwriter who was born on October 25th 1992 in Yaoundé, Mfoundi, Centre, Cameroon. Her parents moved to New York when she was starting high school and she studied engineering in College.
Laetitia began writing songs with just her voice and a guitar. Her first song was released in 2014 and it was Vermont. It featured Eamon McMullen on drums and bass. The same year she put out the Persian Garden EP on Miscreant Records. Her next record appeared three years later and it was 2017’s Infinite Worlds album. The album was recorded with Chris Daly in New Paltz, New York, and was released by Father/Daughter Records.
She later recorded and self-produced Vagabon, her debut full length. The album was released on Nonesuch in 2019.
