Mariela Encarnacion Bio
Mariela Encarnacion is an actress and TV host born on August 9, 1979, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She has a degree in Spanish from Lehman College. Her career in TV hosting began in 1998 on Mango TV. Between 2001 and 2002, she co-hosted Sábado gigante.
Mariela is best known for hosting CNN Espanol's pop culture news program, Showbiz. She won the 2013 Sovereign Award for Best Broadcaster Abroad. She worked for the Telemundo news program Levantate, covering local Miami pop culture news. Mariela has interviewed several celebrities, including Shakira. She has appeared on Orange Contact, Viceversa, and Esta noche Mariasela.
Mariela was in the TV series Jarabe de Mar in 2003. She portrayed Teresita in María Montez: La película, directed by Vicente Peñarrocha. She starred in the Bladimir Abud-directed film The Other Penelope in 2019. She has worked alongside Ginés García Millán, Isabella Martinez Wall, Luis del Valle, and Miguel Ángel Martínez.
