Antonio Terry, better known by his stage name Tony Terry, is an American singer born on March 12, 1964 in Pinehurst, North Carolina. He started his career as a backup singer for the groups Sweet Sensation and The Boogie Boys, but by 1987, he scored a recording contract with Epic/CBS Records. That same year, his first single entitled She’s Fly was released and reached number 10 on the US R&B singles chart. The following year, his debut album Forever Yours was released and peaked within the top 40 of the US R&B albums chart. In 1990, he released his second album which was self-titled. From it he released the song With You as a single, and it reached number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. It became the biggest hit of Terry’s career so far. He went on to release four albums since then: Heart of a Man (1994), My Best (2001), Changed! (2006), and I Tony 6 (2015). Terry has also acted in Sisterella, Mama, I Want To Sing, His Woman, His Wife, The Wiz, Cheezecake Boyz and The Diva, Love Unbreakable, and Black Nativity.
