Susan Janet Ballion, better known by her stage name Siouxsie Sioux, is an English singer best known for her time as the frontwoman of the rock band Siouxsie and the Banshees. She was born in Southwark, London, England, on May 27, 1957.
Siouxsie began her music career in 1976 when she formed the band Siouxsie and the Banshees with Steven Severin, and she has gone on to have an extensive career as the leader of the band. Her discography with the Banshees includes the hit singles Spellbound, The Passenger, Cities In Dust, Dear Prudence, Hong Kong Garden, Happy House, and the albums All Souls, The Rapture, and Downside Up.
Siouxsie’s music was featured in the soundtrack of season four of the TV series Stranger things alongside fellow musical artists Kate Bush, Steve Perry, Metallica, and James Taylor.
