Gilbert Jeremy Gottfried, or just Gilbert Gottfried, is an American stand-up comedian and actor, born on February 28, 1955, in Brooklyn, New York. He has been performing his unique comedy style for over 50 years. He started performing on the stages of New York City when he was 15. He became one of the most recognizable voiceover artists after his performance of the parrot Iago in Disney's Aladdin. Gilbert was the spokesperson for Aflac for many years and lent his voice to commercials, cartoons, and films, including the PBS Series Cyberchase. His work in television includes Beverly Hills Cop II, Saturday Night Live, and The Cosby Show. He also appeared in the hit comedy documentary, The Aristocrats. He regularly performs live to sold-out audiences across North America.
