George Robert Stephanopoulos, known as George Stephanopoulos, is an American show host, TV personality, and political commentator best known for his work in TV news. He was born in Fall River, Massachusetts, United States, on February 10, 1961.
George has had an illustrious career in the media industry, which spans several decades. He is a regular on ABC News This Week, Good Morning America Weekend Edition, and Good Morning America. These shows feature other notable personalities, including Lara Spencer, Robin Roberts, Michael Strahan, and Ginger Zee.
Before making a name for himself in the media industry, Stephanopoulos served as an aide to Democratic Congressman Ed Feighan of Ohio. He later went on to serve as a senior advisor to former US President Bill Clinton during his first term in office.
He is a graduate of Columbia University and has received numerous awards for his work in journalism, including four Emmy Awards.
