Jekalyn Carr Bio
Jekalyn Carr is an American gospel singer and songwriter, as well as an author and actress. She was born on the 22nd of April, 1997, in Memphis, Tennessee, U.S. She started as a teenager as a positive speaker in schools and churches around the country. Her debut single “Greater Is Coming” was released in 2012 through Lunjeal Music Group and it became a hit. The next year, she won a Stellar Award for her outstanding achievements in gospel. During the next year, she released her debut album named after her first single. It reached number 3 on Billboard Gospel Albums. She has appeared in many television shows like Black Music Honors and Joyful Noise. She has been nominated three times for a Grammy, and she is a Dove Award winner. She has also done acting gigs, as she performed in the series “Greenleaf”, as well as in the movie “Traceless” and “Never Heard”.
