Colin James Bio

Colin James Munn is a singer, songwriter, and record producer born on August 17, 1964, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. He got his first major break in 1984, opening for Stevie Ray Vaughan. He released his self-titled debut album in 1988, including singles like Voodoo Thing and Five Long Years. The album won him a Juno Award for Most Promising Artist.


Colin formed the Little Big Band and released a jump-blues album in 1993. He won a Juno Award for Best Producer for his work with Little Big Band. His 1995 album Bad Habits featured Mavis Staples, Waddy Wachtel, and Lenny Kravitz.


Colin has won Juno Awards for Single of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Best Blues Album. He was inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame in 2013. His 2018 album, Miles To Go, debuted on the Billboard Blues Charts and held its position in the top 10 of the RMR Blues Chart for 14 weeks.
