Gardner Minshew Bio
Gardner Flint Minshew II, known as Gardner Minshew, is an American professional football player who plays as a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL). He was born in Flowood, Mississippi, United States, on May 16, 1996.
Gardner attended Brandon High School, where he led his team to an undefeated season and the state championship game in his senior year. After graduating high school, he attended Northwest Mississippi Community College before transferring to East Carolina University. In his final season at East Carolina, Minshew set a school record with 4,776 passing yards and was named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year.
Minshew was drafted in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he made an immediate impact as a rookie. He started 12 games and threw for 3,271 yards and 21 touchdowns, earning him recognition as a potential franchise quarterback.
During his time in the NFL, Minshew has had the opportunity to play alongside several notable teammates, including wide receiver DJ Chark and running back James Robinson.
