Tory Burch is an American fashion designer, businesswoman, and philanthropist best known for her work in the fashion world. She was born in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, United States, on June 17, 1966.
Burch began her career in fashion after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in art history. She worked for several fashion labels, including Vera Wang and Polo Ralph Lauren, before launching her own brand, TRB by Tory Burch, in February 2004. The brand quickly gained popularity, and within a year, Burch opened her first retail store in Manhattan's Nolita district.
Today, Tory Burch is a globally recognized brand with over 350 stores worldwide. Burch serves as the Executive Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of her company, Tory Burch LLC, where she oversees the brand's creative direction and business strategy.
In addition to her success in the fashion industry, Burch is also a dedicated philanthropist. She established the Tory Burch Foundation in 2009 to support the economic empowerment of women entrepreneurs in the United States.
