The metal and punk-oriented experimental band Osees (previously known as OCS, Orange County Sound, The Ohsees, Thee Oh Sees, and Oh Sees) is a musical project led by vocalist and guitarist John Dwyer. The band was formed in 1994 in San Francisco, California, and made its debut in 2007 with LP Sucks Blood. Soon after, Help followed in 2009, and in 2010 two records were released: Castlemania and Carrion Crawler/The Dream, the latter with drummer Lars Finberg. After two more releases, Dwyer recruited drummer Nick Murray and bass player Timothy Hellman, and also recorded some live shows in San Francisco. A prolific recording career ensued, with seven more LP’s coming out between 2016 and 2020, including 2018’s collaboration with Orc’s members Smote Reverser and 2020’s free-jazz influenced Protean Threat.
