Rickie Lee Skaggs (born July 18, 1954) is a neotraditional country and bluegrass singer, performer, producer, and composer from the United States. He primarily plays the mandolin, although he also performs on the fiddle, guitar, mandocaster, and banjo. Skaggs was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2018 and the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2016. President Donald Trump presented Skaggs with the National Medal of Arts on January 13, 2021, alongside fellow country musician Toby Keith.
