John C. Reilly is an American actor, voice actor, comedian, singer, screenwriter, and producer born in Chicago, Illinois on May 24, 1965. He is best known for starring in the Adam McKay directed comedy films Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and Step Brothers alongside Will Ferrell. He made his acting debut in a production of The Grapes of Wrath in Chicago. He has also had roles in productions on and off Broadway in True West, Marty, A Streetcar Named Desire, and 8. In 1989 he made his debut in film in the movie Casualties of War and continued landing roles in the films Days of Thunder, Out on a Limb, Hard Eight, Boys, The Thin Red Line, The Good Girl, Chicago, Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, The Promotion, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Step Brothers, Cedar Rapids and many more. He made his debut on television in 1993 in the show Fallen Angels and has since had roles in the shows Cracking Up, Tenacious D, Funny or Die Presents, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, Stone Quackers, Bagboy, Tim and Eric’s Bedtime Stories and others. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won a Screen Actors Guild Award, two Boston Society of Film Critics Awards, a Critics’ Choice Movie Awards and more.
