Katie Quinn Lowes is an American actress, theater director, voice actress, and producer best known for her work in television. She was born in Queens, New York, United States, on September 22, 1982. After completing her studies at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Katie began performing in theatre. She began her screen acting in the early 2000s with appearances in the TV series Rescue Me, Guiding Light, and As the World Turns. Katie is best known for starring in all seven seasons of the drama series Scandal alongside Kerry Washington, Darby Stanchfield, Tony Goldwyn, and Bellamy Young. She lent her voice to the blockbuster animated films Big Hero 6, Zootopia, and Wreck-It Ralph. She won a Fan Favorite Award at the TV Guide Awards.
