Victoria Azarenka Bio
Victória Fyódarauna Azárenka is a Belarusian professional tennis player who was ranked as the world’s number one female tennis player in 2012. She was born in Minsk, Belarus, on July 31, 1989. Victoria began playing tennis at a young age, and at the age of fifteen, she moved to the United States to pursue a full-time career in tennis. Victoria won multiple Junior Grand Slams, and she turned professional in the early 2000s. She quickly became a mainstay at Grand Slam events, winning at multiple events including the French Open and Wimbledon. Victoria has played multiple times against the best players of her time including Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, and Li Na. While representing Belarus, she won gold and bronze medals at the 2012 London Olympics for mixed doubles and singles.
