Sports Bio
Sports is a rock band formed in 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Their genres of music include indie rock, psyche pop, and alternative. The band consists of Cale Chronister (vocal), Jacob Theriot (bass), and Christian Theriot (guitar). Their debut project, Naked All The Time (2015), infused 80s-influenced breezy indie pop sound. It received additional production by Chad Copelin at Blackwatch Studio in Norman, Oklahoma.
The project was one of Buzzfeed's 69 Excellent Indie Records You Might Have Missed in 2015. Their sophomore project, People Can’t Stop Chillin (2016), included songs like Panama, Whatever You Want, and Someone You’d Rather Be Dating. The band released their third project, Everyone’s Invited, in 2018. It received acclaim from Pitchfork, Pigeons & Planes, and Ones To Watch. It earned plays on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic and Spotify’s New Indie Mix playlist.
Sports has performed at Lucky You Lounge, The Holland Project, and Starline Social Club. They held Hot Flash Heat Wave with Sports and Sipper at Ventura Music Hall and Sports with Sipper and Sedona at The Regent Theater. They released their fourth project, Get A Good Look, in 2022.
