Patrick Peterson, born as Patrick De’mon Peterson, Jr. on July 11, 1990, in Pompano Beach, Florida, is an American football player. He has been playing for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL), on the position of cornerback. Patrick Peterson was a member of his high school football team while attending the Blanche Ely High School where he played on the positions of running back and defensive back and proceeded to play college football while attending Louisiana State University. Patrick Peterson officially started his professional football career after he graduated from college. In the 2011 NFL Draft, Patrick Peterson was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the first round, being the third cornerback selected. He signed a four-year, $18.42 million contract with a signing bonus of $11.90 million.
