William Ryan Key is an American rock musician. He was born on the 17th December 1979 in Jacksonville, Florida. He started his musical career in the punk group Craig's Brother, but he moved fast to play with the band Yellowcard. He started singing the back vocals on Yellowcard's. After Yellowcard parted with their original lead vocalists, William Key assumed the lead vocals and for two decades. Yellowcard released ten albums, including their debut, “Ocean Avenue”, released in 2003, and their self-titled last album, “Yellowcard”, in 2016. After the last Yellowcard show on the 22nd March 2017, Key began as a solo artist. In August 2015, Key started a new project “The Lone Tree Recordings”, a recording studio based in Franklin, Tennessee. On the 18th of May, 2018, he released his first solo single, "Vultures”, from his EP, titled “Thirteen”.
