Jamie August Richards III (who’s nicknamed Jay) is an American actor who was born on August 28, 1973, in Washington, District of Columbia, United States. Jamie was raised in the Maryland suburb of Bladensburg, United States. Jamie studied acting at the University of Southern California (USC), enjoying numerous scholarships and grants at that time.
As an actor, he is best known for starring in the WB television show 'Angel' as the vampire hunter Charles Gunn. He has also appeared in some feature films including Why Do Fools Fall in Love?, Good Burger, some TV movies like Critical Assembly, The Temptations, and The Mutiny. As a guest, he has appeared in The Practice, Chicago Hope, The Cosby Show, and Any Day Now. Jamie also performed on stage in Kenneth Lonergan’s Lobby Hero at the prestigious Old Globe Theatre.
