Priyanka Bose is a popular theatre and movie actress who was born in 1982, in Delhi. Bose, a sociology graduate from the University of Delhi, began her acting career as a theatre performer and has since appeared in a number of plays. She made her acting debut as a lead in the Italian movie "Gangor'' in 2010where she portrayed a tribal woman. At the New Jersey Independent South Asian Film Festival, she won the "Best Actress" award. Additionally, she also performed in the 2013 play "Nirbhaya," which was based on a true event that occurred in Delhi. The play captured the hearts of the critics and went on to win the 2013 Amnesty International Freedom of Expression Award, the 2013 Herald Angel Award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and likewise, the 2013 Scotsman Fringe First Award.
