Kansas-based musician and rapper, T-Rell started his career in 2013 and has released several popular tracks since then. He turned to rap to find a means of solace after he was in a gruesome accident where he lost his friend, Partee, who was also his manager. This is when he wrote his first single, ‘My Dawg’ which was a tribute to his friend. After the song was released, it became extremely popular among people as a way of paying a tribute to their own loved ones. It became the anthem of a city named Starkville when a young boy was killed and everyone began to play it. A promoter contacted him after seeing the reaction of people and that set off his musical career. He collaborated with several artists like Kevin Gates, Boosie Badazz and Mike Jones. He was also featured in the album, ‘Jail Tattoos’ which was produced by Jonathan Hay who had created several chart-topping tracks. In 2021, he released ‘Rell Play’, his fourth album, which reached the number no.1 spot in the R&B/ Soul Chart on iTunes.
