Born on September 6, 1970, in Austin, Texas, United States, Stewart Ransom “Rhett” Miller is a country music singer, writer and vocalist of the alternative country band Old 97’s. Other than his work with the band, Miller also records and produces songs as a solo artist. After releasing his first album “Mythologies” in 1989 and a brief stint with a band Sleepy Heroes, Miller formed Old 97’s in 1993. Their first album “Hitchhike To Rhome” was released in the same year and music deals from various labels came pouring in. His most noted albums are “The Instigator on Elektra Records” (2002), “The Believer” (2006), “The Dreamer” (2012), and “The Traveler” (2015).
