UK-based Maxi priest is a world renown reggae musician whose sound includes influences from rock, pop, R&B, and dancehall. Born Max Alfred Elliot, Maxi Priest was the first reggae artist to have an international #1 hit. In addition to his solo work, Elliot previously fronted the band Inner Circle.
His debut album, Maxi, was released in 1988, and over half a dozen albums were released between then and 2007’s Refused. Another album, Easy To Love, is currently in the works. Maxi Priest has numerous UK Top 20 hits. These include: “Some Guys Have All the Luck,” “Wild World,” “That Girl,” “Close To You,” and “House Call.”
During his 20+ year career, Elliott has been associated with acts like Shaggy, Beres Hamond, Roberta Flack, and Shabba Ranks.
