Singer/songwriter and musician Sara Bareilles was born in Eureka, California, on December 7, 1979. While in college, she was part of the group known as Awaken a Cappella, and gained recognition around campus for her stellar performances in the student concerts. Sara Bareilles’ first studio album, titled Careful Confessions, was released in early 2004, and just over a year later, she was signed to Epic Records, through which she eventually put out her second album Little Voice, featuring the extremely popular single “Love Song”. The single became a #1 song in the country, and the album has since been certified Platinum, while “Love Song” was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2009 Grammy Awards.
Sara Bareilles would go on to release Kaleidoscope Heart in 2010, followed by The Blessed Unrest in 2013. In 2011, Sara Bareilles was announced as one of the guest judges on the singing competition show The Sing-Off.
