The German metal band, Powerwolf, started way back in 2004, but when signed by respected label Napalm records, in 2012, the band hit the ground running. Their album, Preachers of the Night, hit number 1 on the German Top 100 Chart merely a year later, in 2013.
The band members are Attila Dorn (born Karsten Brill on 27th of October 1970) on Vocals, Falk Maria Schlegel (born Christian Jost 29th of September 1975) on the organ, Charles Greywolf (born David Vogt on 5th of September 1975) on vocals, Matthew Greywolf (born Benjamin Buss on 7th of October 1977) brother of Charles - on guitar, and Roel van Helden (born 2nd September 1980) on drums.
The band originally started in 2004, with different members on the drums, but signed with its current members in 2012. Artists like Amaranthe, Epica and Battle Beast have covered some of Powerwolf’s songs as a tribute.
