Danny Welbeck is a professional football player who currently plays as a forward for Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Premier League. Born on 26th November 1990 in Manchester, England, Welbeck started his career with the Manchester United youth setup in 2001. He played for the youth team until 2008, when the then-manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, called him to the senior side. He went on to make 92 appearances for Manchester United.
In September 2014, he joined Arsenal. His start at the Emirates was not impressive, but he was always protected by the then-manager Arsene Wenger, who said he would improve with time. He went on to make 88 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 16 goals. In August 2019, he joined the Premier League club Watford and was released in October 2020. That same month, he joined Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion as a free agent on a one-year deal. In June 2021, he signed a contract extension with the club.
