Sam Johnstone Bio
Sam Johnstone is a professional football player who plays as a goalkeeper for Crystal Palace in the English Premier League. Born on 25th March 1993 in Preston, England, Sam started his career with the Manchester United academy in 2011. That same year, he was called to the senior side and later loaned to Oldham Athletic, Scunthorpe United, Walsall, Yeovil Town, Doncaster Rovers, Preston North End, and Aston Villa.
In July 2018, he joined West Bromwich Albion on a four-year deal. He was promoted to the Premier League ahead of the 2020 – 21 season with West Bromwich Albion. In December 2020, he pulled some amazing stoppage time saves to prevent Raheem Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan from helping his team secure a draw in a premier league match. In June 2022, he joined Crystal Palace as a free agent and backup goalkeeper to Vicente Guaita.
