Joleon Lescott is a football coach, pundit, and retired football player. He’s currently the coach of the England Under-21 team. Born on 16th August 1982 in Birmingham, England. He played as a center-back. He started his career with the Wolverhampton Wanderers youth academy. He went on to make his league debut with the club in 2000. He joined Everton in 2006 and made his debut in a win against Watford in August 2006.
In this first season with Everton, he ranked second in Fans’ Player of the Season, behind Mikel Arteta. In August 2009, he joined Manchester City on a five-year deal. He made his debut for the club in a 2-2 draw against Fulham in October 2009. He later played for West Bromwich Albion, Aston Villa, AEK Athens, Sunderland, and Racing Murcia. Lescott has also made 26 appearances for the England national team. He started his coaching career in August 2021 after being named in Lee Carsley’s coaching staff for the Under 21s.
