Ian Poulter is a professional golfer born on 10th January 1976 in Hertfordshire, England. He competes in the LIV Golf League and was once ranked number 5 in the world rankings. Poulter started playing golf at the age of 4. He continued to follow his dream over the years and eventually turned pro in 1996. Three years later, he won the 1999 Open de Cote d’Ivoire on the second-tier Challenge Tour of the European Tour.
In 2000, he was named Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year and won the Italian Open title. In November 2009, he claimed the Barclays Singapore Open, which was held at the Sentosa Club. He won his first competition in the United States in February 2010 after defeating Paul Casey in the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, which was held in Arizona. In November 2012, he won the Wolf Golf Championship.
