Kieran Trippier is a professional player who currently plays for Premier League club Newcastle United as a right-back. Born on 19th September 1990 in Bury, England, Trippier started his career with the Manchester City Academy. He later joined the senior side but was sent out on loan to Barnsley and Burnley before signing permanently for Burnley in 2012. After making 145 appearances for Burnley, Tottenham signed him in June 2015 to provide competition for Kyle Walker at right back.
In July 2019, he joined the La Liga club Atletico Madrid on a three-year deal. He made his debut for the Spanish team in August 2019 in a 1 – 0 win against Getafe. He provided an assist for Alvaro Morata to score the goal. In January 2022, he joined Newcastle United on a 2 ½ year deal. In January 2023, he extended his contract with the club until 2025. Trippier has so far made 41 appearances for the England national team.
