Elizabeth Rodriguez was born on 27 December, 1980, Elizabeth is from Manhattan, New York. She was trained for 2 years under Maggie Flanigan, an acting teacher, in her hometown after graduating from Lehman College. Elizabeth made her debut in 1994 with a small role in the drama Fresh alongside Samuel L Jackson. She joined the long-running series ER in 1999 as Nurse Sandra.
Elizabeth was also a key character, Aleida Diaz, on the Netflix series, Orange Is the New Black alongside Laura Gómez and Natasha Lyonne. She won the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series award for Orange Is the New Black along with other cast members in 2015, 2016, and 2017 - she was nominated for the same award in 2018.
Elizabeth takes an active part in theatre and has starred in Beauty of the Father by the Manhattan Theatre Club.
