Markus Golden was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 27, 1993. He was the second round, the 58th overall pick of the Arizona Cardinals in the 2015 NFL Draft. The Arizona Cardinals signed him to a four-year contract worth $3.91 million of which $1.72 is guaranteed. He also received a $1.1 million signing bonus.
Prior to going Pro, Golden went to the Hutchinson Community College where he played college football. He transferred to the University of Missouri afterward. During his stay in the university, he helped his team win the 2014 Cotton Bowl Classic. In the same year, he was also named second-team All-SEC. In 2015, the team won the Citrus Bowl, and he was named as the 2015 Citrus Bowl MVP.
