Tyler James Williams is an American actor best known for his work in film and television. He was born in Westchester County, New York, United States, on October 9, 1992. Tyler began his acting career in the early 2000s with appearances on the TV series Little Bill, Sesame Street, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, but he became famous in 2005 when he starred in the comedy-drama series Everybody Hates Chris alongside Tichina Arnold, Imani Hakim, Terry Crews, and Tequan Richmond.
He has gone on to be a regular on the TV series Abbott Elementary, Whiskey Cavalier, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, RePlay, The Walking Dead, and Go On. His filmography includes Unaccompanied Minors, Peeples, Dear White People, and Let It Shine. Tyler won a Black Reel Award for Outstanding Breakthrough Performance - Male and an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series.
