Josh Stowers (born February 25, 1997 in Chicago, IL USA) is an outfielder in the MLB. He was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 2nd round of the 2018 amateur draft, out of the University of Louisville.
As a senior, Stowers hit .336 with 14 doubles, 9 homers, 72 runs scored, 60 RBIs and 36 steals in 62 games. He was named to the Atlantic Coast Conference First Team and to the conference's All-Academic team. He began his professional career with the Everett AquaSox of the Northwest League, where he hit .260/.380/.410 in 58 games, with 5 homers, 32 runs scored and 28 RBIs. He was a mid-season All-Star in the NWL.
Following the season, on January 21st, he was traded to the New York Yankees in return for AA infielder Shed Long. On April 6, 2021, he was involved in another major league trade that saw him move to the Texas Rangers alongside Antonio Cabello in return for Rougned Odor.
