A Great Big World Bio
While students at NYU, Axel and King got together to create their duo, A Great Big World. They used crowdfund to raise money and release their first EP. Their song “This is the New Year” was featured on Fox TV show Glee, and covered by Christina Aguilera, bringing it international attention. This propelled the track to the top of international charts, which helped to fuel their full-length album debut, Is There Anybody Out There?, which made it into the top three of the Billboard 200. In 2015, their hit song “Say Something” won a Grammy. Their second album, “When the Morning Comes” was released in 2015. It included a song called “Hold Each Other,” featuring rapper Futuristic, that made it into the Hot 100. They have since released more singles and a third album.
