John Daly, born John Patrick Daly, is an American golfer who was born on April 28, 1966, in Carmichael, California. His passion for golf began when he was 4 years old when his father gifted him two cut-off golf clubs. He started his professional career as a golfer as an amateur in the US Open, but his performance wasn’t up to the general expectation. He earned his recognition a few years later, in 1991, when he participated in the PGA Championship and won. His winning streak continued until 1994 when he was suspended from the PGA tour for walking out of the course due to his alcohol addiction. In 1995, he won at the British Open, but his personal problems kept getting in the way and affecting his game. He made a comeback in 2004 when he became the PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year.
