Greg Allen is a baseball outfielder born on 15th March 1993 in California, United States. He currently plays for the MLB team, New York Yankees. He played college baseball for San Diego State University. He played summer college baseball with the Orleans Firebirds. Allen started his professional career with the Cleveland Indians after being selected in the sixth round of the 2014 MLB Draft.
After four years in their minor league system, he was promoted to the majors in September 2017. He was traded to the San Diego Padres in 2020 and to the New York Yankees in 2021. He was promoted to the majors in July 2021 after playing in their minor leagues. The Yankees added Allen to their roster for the American League Wild Card Game in 2021. The Pittsburgh Pirates claimed him off waivers in November 2021. Allen was a member of their minor league system until September 2022. In October 2022, he elected free agency. Allen signed with the Boston Red Sox in January 2023 but was traded to the New York Yankees in May. The following day, Allen was added to their active roster. He is currently injured.
