Warren Sapp Bio
Warren Carlos Sapp is a former NFL player born on December 19, 1972, in Plymouth, Florida, USA. His college career was at the University of Miami, where he was the Big East Defensive Player of the Year in 1994. Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected him in the 1995 NFL Draft as the 12th pick in the first round.
Warren was with the Buccaneers for nine years before joining the Oakland Raiders from 2004 to 2007 for his final four seasons. The defensive lineman played 198 games with four interceptions and three total touchdowns. He won the Super Bowl championship (XXXVII) and the Pro Bowl seven times. In 1999, he was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
His accolades include First-team All-Pro (1999–2002), Second-team All-Pro (1997, 1998), PFWA All-Rookie Team (1995), Lombardi Award (1994), Bronko Nagurski Trophy (1994), Bill Willis Trophy (1994), Unanimous All-American (1994), Second-team All-American (1993), and 2× First-team All-Big East (1993–1994). After retirement, he worked as a studio analyst for Inside the NFL on Showtime. He co-hosts the weekly podcast BetUS Unfiltered with Brian Jones.
