Michael Jai White is an American actor, writer, director, producer, and mixed martial artist best known for his work in film and television. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, United States, on November 10, 1967. Michael began his acting career in 1989 when he appeared in the films The Toxic Avenger Part II and The Toxic Avenger Part III: The Last Temptation of Toxie. He has since been a regular on the TV series Pump, Arrow, Black Dynamite, For Better or Worse, Li Xiao Long chuan qi, and Clubhouse. His filmography includes Black Dynamite, Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married Too?, Why Did I Get Married?, Spawn, Exit Wounds, 2 Days in the Valley, and Universal Soldier: The Return, but he is best known for starring in the action-crime film Dark Night alongside Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Chin Han, and Aaron Eckhart. Michael has received two NAACP Awards for Outstanding Actor in a Television Movie, Mini-Series or Dramatic Special.
