Hank Azaria Bio

Hank Azaria is a movie and television actor, director, as well as a stand up comedian. He was born Henry Albert Azaria on the 25th of April, 1964, in New York City, New York, U.S. He started his career with a role in the ABC comedy drama series “Joe Bash” starring Peter Boyle. He continued playing small roles on television movies and shows like “Nitti: The Enforcer” and “Family Ties”. He worked in the hit animated television show “The Simpsons”, where he voiced Moe, Apu Nahasapeemapetilon and Chief Wiggum, as well as a dozen other secondary characters in the show. Azaria landed a role as a main cast member on the show Herman’s Head from 1991 to 1994. He played on the popular sitcom “Friends” starring Jennifer Aniston. In the show he acted as one of Phoebe Buffay’s boyfriends. He was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his work on the sitcom “Friends”. He has also acted in more than a dozen feature films like “Pretty Woman”, “Godzilla”, “Celebrity”, “Bartok the Magnificent”, among many others. He won the 2015 Primetime Emmy Award as Outstanding Character Voice Over Performance for his work on “The Simpsons”.
